Becoming the spiritual Warrior Woman
There are energies we can connect to that will help us to not be afraid of life's challenges. Women have been using the techniques taught in this workshop to become connected to powerful feminine energies for thousands of years.
So many of us get trapped in destructive behaviour patterns which lead us to chaotic and negative realities. The dark goddess of destruction like the Hindi Kali or the Celtic Morrigans can help us to destroy the things that are no longer useful and that are hindering our progress. We can use dance and ritual to reprogram ourselves using goddess energies.
In this workshop we explore Goddess myths and archetypes that will enhance our lives. We will look at strong, powerful Goddesses from Middle Eastern, Asian and Celtic mythology.
We are all diverse individuals with our own unique personalities; we are also many different women in one person.
This day is about connecting with the strong dynamic and powerful aspect of the self that is IN ALL WOMEN. Using a variety of Goddesses handed down to us through myth and legend, we will have loads of fun as we work on our inner selves. Using various transpersonal techniques such as meditation, visualisation, creativity, movement, costume and ritual.

There are two types of Saidi stick dance: Raks Assaya and Tahtib. The word Tahtib means dancing with sticks and it was originally a kind of martial art. It is very ancient. The Pharaohs painted this kind of dance on the walls of their temples A female version of stick dancing has been incorporated into a belly dance, by including flirtatious and generally more feminine dance moves. The stick used for this type of dancing is lightweight and hooked at one end like a cane. It si often embellished with shiney coloured foil or sequins. The stick itself is about four feet in length and is called an 'Asaya '.
