The rebellious people

Scene one : Ra is angry

Ra, Falcon-headed, skin is gold, hair is lapis lazuli. He represents the Old Religion.

The people turned against him. Mocking him and not paying him any respect. People were behaving in cruel and uncivilized ways. Because of this he decided to destroy humanity. He called a council of gods to decide what to do. They suggest that he uses his eye to hunt out and destroy the wicked. Ra’s eye manifests in his daughter who is four creatures in one; Bastet the cat, Hathor the cow Goddess and Wadget the cobra goddess. He required her to manifest in her aspect as the great Sekhmet lioness goddess. He feels her aggressive character would be good to destroy the evil people on earth.

Scene two : Bast becomes Sekhmet

Ra transforms his daughter Bast into Sekhmet. Sekhmet goes and attacks the people who are rebelling and scatters them into the deserts and the mountains. She slaughters many people.

Scene three : Ra’s plan to stop Sekhmet

Ra feels compassion for the people and wants Sekmet to stop, however she was now blood thirsty and out of control. Ra was worried that she would wipe out the human race. Ra needed a plan to stop Sekhmet's devastation. When she was asleep at night he sent some of his servants to collect red berries that make you sleepy and mixed them with beer the liquid looked just like red blood.

Early in the morning Ra ordered that the jars of beer and crushed berries should be emptied on the fields.

Scene 4 : Sekhmet wakes up

Sekhmet wakes up and is ecstatic to see what she thought was a sea of human blood. She began to greedily lap it up. She became drugged and drunk so much so she did not notice the people of Egypt and lost interest in her killing spree.

Scene 5 : Sekhmet falls into deep sleep

Sekhmet falls into a deep sleep. She wakes up as Bastet , a cute little cat who loves to sing and dance and heal people.

Scene 6 : Ra Ascends to Heaven

Ra decided that he had had enough of ruling the world. He decided to try to get people to be civilized so they could look after their own affairs. He got Thoth to pass on the abilities of literacy and learning for these would empower the people to be sophisticated and rule themselves. He rode into heaven on the back of a divine cow for a well earned rest!
