The retreat centre is situated in a large,secluded valley, overlooked by striking mountains fruit and nut trees and a massive expanse of sky. The surroundings provides excellent opportunities for walking, with an extensive network of tracks through the surrounding olive groves. The Sierra Sur is a stunning, unspoilt and little known area, where you can really escape from the busy tourism of many other mountain ranges. Cortijo Vadillo is also situated on the original route of the Caliphs, which was taken by the Moorish kings of centuries past and which links up the Moorish castles in the surrounding area. Alcala la Real has a stunning castle, fortress and church of particular historical interest to be explored, and during the summer months myths and legends are retold in the castle grounds.

Make your own clay goddess, mask making workshops very interactive, hands-on, enjoyable and excellent way of learning, it helped me appreciate my creative potential and it also allowed me to channel my own creativity into something unique; something that is me.  I felt this workshop that has gave me some insights to new dimensions and facets to myself that I had been unaware of.I would definitely go on this residential again I thought it was simply – marvelous.  I thought it was excellent value for money and I had fantastic time. Divine archetypes are beings that exist as energetic templates they are the heroic divine and beautiful aspects of the human being. They exist in the collective unconscious where it is possible to ‘plug in ‘to their reality and connect and be influenced by them. Theology, science, philosophy and psychology, explain why it is possible to be moved and influenced from higher beings. I suggest practical steps and provide a variety of suggestions to suit different individuals. Methods of connecting to the gods and goddess will be taught at these residential work will include, - listening to their story, creative expression through art, dance, mediation and ritual. Workshops will teach a considered selection of multicultural archetypes and include information, methods and techniques to connect us to our truth creativity sets us in a space that frees us from literal expression.

 

  Work shop leader Ishtar is a psychology teacher and belly dance teacher/performer. She has professional qualifications in counseling, holistic therapies and teaching. She has had numerous TV and media appearances and her articles have been published on this subject internationally. Ishtar has one daughter Tara and is long term partner of Peter Rix.
