Classes are held in Merseyside and all run in high quality venues. They are both dance and fitness based. Groups are very friendly and are of varied ability.

All classes are for ten week s. (No weekly paying class.) Book a £5 taster to check that Ishtar's classes are for you. You can then pay the difference on week two. (credit card through PayPal if required).

NOTE-Tasters are only available in week one or two. You may join up to week four and can take lessons in another class to make up you ten sessions. If this is not possible you may be able to have a reduction in fee .

Course details

All Belly dance courses are for ten weeks .

Bellydance classes focus on dance moves, combinations and choreography.  Also taught are methods to work with props including stick, zills, veil, and sword., Some classes instruct on stage /performance skills and tasters of other related forms of eastern dance.

Styles taught - Basic technique, Egyptian and Turkish cabaret /folkloric, flexibility and conditioning moves, drill combinations, khaligy ,Bollywood fusion, gothic. Cabaret and healing dance. toning exercise, choreography, trance dance, floor work, dancing with props (Zills, veil and canes, swords, fans.) Occasionally, there is meditation and visualisation.

Course Prices

 NOTE-If you can not attend a class,you may make up your lesson by attending any of the other classes within the ten week period. So if you pay for ten weeks we will try our best for you to attend ten sessions.

Taster is for week one only and for those who have never attended  Ishtar's classes.

Book by post or online: a £5 deposit secures your place.You may attend another class if you have to miss you lesson. So if you pay for ten lessons, you can take them in any of then venues.(even if you have three in one week , for example)  Payment - cash/cheque in class.Paypal , you do not need an account and can pay with a credit card contact if you need an invoice for amount.
